The Best Cities to Celebrate Carnival in Portugal

Portugal has a long tradition associated with the Carnival, especially in some areas of the country, such as Torres Vedras, Loulé, Sesimbra, Madeira and the Azores.

The  Torres Vedras Carnival is the oldest in the country (with references from 1574), faithful to the traditions and rejecting foreign words, and is already deeply rooted in the identity of the city.
