Portuguese hotels are among the five cheapest in Europe, with average prices dropped 15 percent in the first half of this year to 82 euros. Only Hungary, Czech Republic (both 71 euros), Poland (73 euros) and Ireland (80 euros), have the average prices of their hotels cheaper than Portugal.
According to Hotel Price Index (Hotels.com), which is based on the analysis of prices paid by customers in 78 thousand hotels worldwide, prices in Portugal followed the same trend worldwide, where prices fell 17 percent, and 16 percent in Europe.
Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Italy and the UK are the 5 countries in Europe with the highest average price.
