Porto Santo is located about 50 kilometers from the island of Madeira, but has little to do with its neighbor. Instead of green mountains and the forest, the brown and yellow dominate the vegetation. Less mountainous, has few changes in climate, which remains dry and mild throughout the year. But the main difference is the beach, located in the south coast, where a warm sea, blue-transparent, massage a long beach with about 9 kilometers long. The beach stretches away from the center of town Baleira to the Ponta da Calheta, a small bay overlooking the magnificent Island of Cal, in the extreme west of the island.
This is a great place to relaxing holidays at any time of year.
